چکیده
This article discusses the evaluation of three methods static contact angle measurements de-ionized (DI) water and TiO2 nanofluid droplets with concentrations (0.5%, 1%, 5%) that evaporate on substrate different temperatures. To compare discussed approximation methods, differences between results mean angles were identified; highest standard deviation was recorded for Young–Laplace circle such as TiO2–DI 1% at 50 °C, it is 3.21°, while lowest value obtained 5% Tenv, SD = 0.04°, by comparing using ellipse methods. Research shows circular shape not to be excluded determination in angular range 0°–75°.

Experimental investigation of evaporation from low-contact-angle sessile droplets.
Evaporating sessile drops remain pinned at the contact line during much of the evaporation process, and leave a ring of residue on the surface upon dryout. The intensive mass loss near the contact line causes solute particles to flow to the edge of the droplet and deposit at the contact line. The high vapor diffusion gradient and the low thermal resistance of the film near the contact line are ...

A considerable growth of interest in electrowetting (EW) has stemmed from the potential exploitation of this technique in numerous industrial and biological applications, such as microfluidics, lab-on-a-chip, electronic paper, and bioanalytical techniques. The application of EW to droplets of liquids containing nanoparticles (nanofluids) is a new area of interest. Understanding the effects of e...

This paper presents an investigation into spreading dynamics and dynamic contact angle of TiO2-deionized water nanofluids. Two mechanisms of energy dissipation, (1) contact line friction and (2) wedge film viscosity, govern the dynamics of contact line motion. The primary stage of spreading has the contact line friction as the dominant dissipative mechanism. At the secondary stage of spreading,...
متن کاملRaman thermometry measurements of free evaporation from liquid water droplets.
Recent theoretical and experimental studies of evaporation have suggested that on average, molecules in the higher-energy tail of the Boltzmann distribution are more readily transferred into the vapor during evaporation. To test these conclusions, the evaporative cooling rates of a droplet train of liquid water injected into vacuum have been studied via Raman thermometry. The resulting cooling ...
